Lobos island tour itinerary

The tour starts on the pier of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, in San Cristobal. The trip to Lobos Island is very short: it takes approximately 30 minutes by boat. Upon arrival, you will find sea lions resting on the beach or swimming in its crystal clear waters.

The trail is covered with volcanic rocks , so it is advisable to bring hiking shoes and a walking stick to help, as well as sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses. Also, don't forget a camera! You will appreciate beautiful landscapes and several birds.

Along the way, you will encounter the beautiful blue-footed boobies resting on the rocks, hatching or caring for their young.

Over the bushes, you will observe a large number of frigatebirds. Male frigatebirds have a red chest, which they inflate in order to attract females and mate. These birds are known as the pirates of the sea, as they steal food from other animals.

You will also come across lava lizards lying on rocks or hiding in the bushes.

- After the hike, you will snorkel in the crystal clear waters of Lobos Island.

Ochoa Bay.

The tour continues to Ochoa Bay beach. The landing there is wet; which means you have to take a smaller boat to get to the shore.

Then, lunch will be served onboard, on your way back to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno.
