Tour to Cormorant Point in Floreana Island 2024
In Cormorant Point, you will find blue-footed boobies, frigate birds and iguanas in their natural habitat, as well as an impressive lake where many flamingos live. Also, you will have the opportunity to appreciate a varied flora and fauna, and snorkel in Enderby Islet, where you will spot sea turtles, sea lions, starfish, colorful fish and take pictures of its beautiful scenery. These beautiful places are located on Floreana Island, which is 18 km long and 16 km wide.

Enderby Islet and Cormorant Point tour itinerary
- 07:50 am our staff will be waiting for you at the Grupo Galapagos offices to
transfer you to the meeting point. The yacht will be ready to take you to the beautiful
Floreana Island.
Recommendation: Ethe sea trip can be bumpy; we recommend taking sea sickness pills 30
minutes before embarking. The trip takes about 2 hours.
Enderby Islet
The first point of visit is Enderby Islet, where you will practice snorkeling
and see starfish, tropical fish, sea lions and sea
turtles.
Cormorant Point
After visiting Enderby Islet, the yacht will head to Cormorant Point, where
you
practice more snorkeling and will be able to see whitetip reef sharks, also
known in the Galapagos as “tintoreras”.
After snorkeling, the guide will take you to a beach with brown-silver sand, where you will
appreciate the volcanic and organic material that make it different from the
other islands.
On the beach, you can observe several marine iguanas resting on the rocks,
blue-footed boobies, and frigatebirds.
A 100 m trail full of endemic species - Scalesia Vellosa and Lecocarpus - will take you to a
lake inhabited by majestic flamingos.
After the hike, lunch will be served on board the yacht and finally you will be transferred back
to Puerto Ayora, in Santa Cruz Island.
